The V-fold is a simple fold that uses four teabag squares. Put a hint
in somewhere to practice on a large piece of paper first.
The V Fold
| On the following pages you will find complete instructions for the V Fold. This
fold uses four pieces of teabag paper to produce a complete rosette. And all the
instructions are in the same format as our kits. |
|
|
As a first step fold the square in half along the diagonal. Folding so that
the pattern is obscured. This will make a crease line through the centre of
the teabag that you will use as a guide. Open the paper back up. |
|
Then fold from the corner to the centre line. Making sure that you fold with
the patterned side down, so that the pattern (the light blue side on the diagram)
shows. Repeat with the other side to form a diamond shape. |
|
|
Now that you have a diamond, fold from the corner (point A) to the centre line. |
|
Once you have done this (see right) repeat the process by folding from the other
corner to the centre line. When you have done this only the patterned side should
be showing. |
|
Hold the paper at the point that has most recently been folded (point B)
and support the crease with one finger. |
|
Pull gently down at the opposite end, do not crease! |
|
|
Pressing with a finger or thumb (point C) tuck the longer end into the shorter.
Then crease firmly along the top edge. |
|
You should now have a V shaped fold. Four of these can be arranged to produce an
eight pointed star. |
Here is a few of the dramatic effects you can produce:
[V Fold Cards]

|
For this Project!
You will need card, glue, scissors, and
some teabag papers. Since this fold uses only four teabag squares
you can use any leftovers you have. |
